Writing about art for a living means that the perfect window to cover something is short; a small gallery show isn’t of much interest for publication after its brief run time. So, this is a text I usually don’t write, about a show I saw last November during a quick visit to the gallery but wasn’t able to review then. It popped up in conversations with Leonie a few times, so when she invited me to disclaim #4 I took the opportunity to finally think about Humans on the page. My view of it is intertwined with my own exhaustion in dealing with pain and an economic reality in which I did not manage to see a lot of shows, or as many an art critic perhaps should – at least, not in person.
